The 2022 World 5G Convention, themed "5G+ By All For All", will be held in Harbin, Heilongjiang province from August 10 to 12.

This year's convention is co-hosted by the Heilongjiang Province People's Government, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The purpose of the convention is providing a platform to show and exchange the latest achievements and viewpoints of 5G, drawing a comprehensive, multidisciplinary and profound blueprint of the cooperation between sci-tech and industry at global level, and creating a better ecological platform for the integration of 5G innovation circles, industrial clusters and supply chains, thus adding vitality into all sectors of 5G empowerment.

As the world's first international 5G event, in accordance with the principle of "innovation, implementation and interactivity," the convention will display the 5G ecological layout of real scenes in multi-sensory ways, bringing a boutique exhibition gala. The convention has set up 14 forums or thematic seminars in four major sections, presenting a full-scale dynamic 5G ecology.

Held "offline + online," it is mainly composed of "meetings, exhibitions and competitions." The "meetings" include the opening ceremony and the main forum, plus 14 forums and seminars.

"Exhibitions" adopts both real scenario exhibitions and online cloud displays featuring the combination of virtual and real experiences.

"Competitions" refers to the unveiling ceremony of 5G fusion application, which sets up eight race tracks to collect works or projects related to 5G features. At the same time, the convention will also release the top ten 5G application cases in 2022.

In addition, a number of investment contracts in the digital economy will be signed during the convention. 

From 2019 to 2022, the World 5G Convention was held in three different places, keeping pace with the rhythm of business and industrial development. This year's convention will connect core 5G resources to empower Heilongjiang's digital economy, accelerate the development of digital industrialization and industrial digitalization, achieving new breakthroughs.

Heilongjiang attaches great importance to the development of the digital economy and regards it as the first of the four new engines of development. The cross-regional industrial collaboration bridge, which will be built by the 2022 World 5G Convention, is expected to effectively enable the development of digital process in Heilongjiang.
