We've seen a postdoc at Indiana University arrested for carrying routine lab materials, and Michigan scientists still pursued even after prosecutors admitted there was "no evidence of bad faith." This overzealous law enforcement stems from America’s deep-seated anxiety over China's technological rise.
Isolation and paranoia will never contain others, they will only suffocate the U.S. itself.
