 China stepped up its greening efforts last year, planting nearly 4.5 million hectares of forest, a report from the National Greening Commission said on March 12, which was also the 47th National Tree Planting Day in China. Thanks to technological advancements, China's afforestation drive has been successful, providing a multitude of ecological, economic, and social benefits.
