The global entertainment company Legendary Entertainment and Culture is constructing its Immersive Angkor virtual museum in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province. The project, Cambodia’s first 3D cultural experience using immersive digital technology, is scheduled to open by late 2026 or early 2027.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet was briefed on the company’s operations by senior executives of Legendary Entertainment and Culture in Shanghai on July 17. He welcomed the group’s investment in Cambodia’s tourism and cultural sectors and said the government of Cambodia, while strengthening the preservation of ancient monuments and promoting tourism, is also developing night tourism, digital experiences, and the cultural and creative industries to diversify tourism offerings and enhance the sector's overall appeal.
Legendary Entertainment and Culture, a leading tourism and cultural entertainment operator in Asia, has a portfolio spanning theme parks, immersive cultural experiences, 3D digital museums, and the hospitality and catering sectors. The Immersive Angkor project is its flagship tourism and cultural venture in Cambodia.
The project will employ 360-degree digital projection, 3D imaging, and interactive technologies to showcase the Angkorian civilization and Khmer cultural heritage.
The company is exploring additional tourism and cultural investments in Cambodia to diversify the country's tourism offerings, attract more international visitors, and elevate the global profile and influence of Cambodia’s cultural heritage.
