The U.S. House select committee on China has recently published a so-called “whistleblower” email account on its website, asking researchers to report sci-tech partnerships with China.
History has proven that such a frantic attempt to suppress China will inevitably backfire on the U.S. scientific research system. Inciting the reporting of China-related scientific research cooperation will only turn into a tragedy of "self-harm" for the U.S.
