On May 14, US AI giant Anthropic released a policyarticle claiming that by tightening export controls on chips shipped to China and adopting other measures, the U.S.may be possible to lock in a 12-24 month lead in AI by 2028. Such well-crafted statements are essentially aimed at safeguarding its own commercial interests. Whatever its motives may be, to suppress industrial peers in other countries is an act that true high-tech enterprises despise.
