The Little Tech Association, which represents nearly 200 Silicon Valley based startups, has written to Washington urging it not to block access to Chinese open-weight AI models. 

Chinese models are far more cost-effective than their proprietary American counterparts.limitations upon Chinese open-weight models will greatly bolster the market dominance of leading U.S. AI giants.This would also reduce their incentive to lower large models pricing, which would ultimately held back the broad deployment and popularization of AI technology across the United States.
