At the ongoing 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing, being held from September 9 to 13, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, the guest province of honor, highlights its strength in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

Guangxi in southern China is known as China's "natural medicine cabinet" and "hometown of Chinese medicinal materials."

The Guangxi Pavilion demonstrates how the region has translated its distinctive strengths in TCM into health service capacity and industrial competitiveness, providing traditional medicinal health products and solutions for the global market.

The Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine, the only university in the region with a complete industry-university-research system, is a major contributor to Guangxi's TCM services going global.

Harnessing the medicine resources of the region’s ethnic Zhuang and Yao groups, the university has led the formulation of four ISO international standards and taken the lead in launching a special science and technology project worth 78.5 million RMB. It has also  incubated three Class 1.1 innovative TCM drugs and healthcare products, and driven the development of the TCM industry across the region to exceed 15 billion RMB.

Along with 94 universities from 25 countries, it has deployed overseas TCM centers, established the China-Vietnam Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and trained nearly 300 Vietnamese medical personnel.

The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University has seized the strategic opportunity of "AI + TCM" to independently develop products widely used in health management, chronic disease intervention, and health preservation and care. They have entered ASEAN countries such as Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia.

The Guangxi Pavilion is exhibiting an AI TCM constitution identification machine. It integrates AI big data, TCM’s four diagnostic methods, detection of the four highs: hypertension, hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, and hyperuricemia, and digital human technology to identify TCM constitution and intelligently manage chronic diseases.

Visitors try out the AI Health Screening System, AI Tongue Health Assessment System and AI Eye Care Device. These AI-powered products are developed by HIT TEINYO Digital Intelligence (Guangxi) Robot Technology Co., Ltd. The company focuses on the R&D, production and sales of medical AI, digital intelligent healthcare, digital diagnosis and treatment, and rehabilitation and nursing robot terminals. Its products are exported to more than 30 overseas countries.
